Safety & real-life situations
iWatch was built for ordinary people in ordinary situations that stop feeling ordinary. Here is where a fast, reliable record can matter — and what iWatch can and cannot do.
- Walking aloneLate shifts, campus paths, parking garages, unfamiliar streets after dark.
- First datesMeeting someone new, somewhere you don't know, without anyone else there.
- TravellingNew cities, unfamiliar transport, hotels and long journeys alone.
- Crowded eventsConcerts, stadiums, festivals, bars and nightlife.
- Domestic disputesDocumenting a situation as it happens, when memory alone may not be enough.
- Child safetyTeenagers heading out, walking home, or travelling without an adult.
- CampusStudents on school and college grounds, including moments that don't feel like a normal day.
- Traffic stopsIn jurisdictions where recording is legally permitted.
- Rideshare safetyUnfamiliar drivers, shared rides and late-night trips.
See it in action
When school feels frightening, reaching you should be fast.
iWatch gives a student a fast way to start recording or place a call, so the people who need to know are reached quickly — and there's a timestamped record of what happened.
What iWatch is
A documentation tool you control
iWatch gives you a fast way to start recording, a secure place for that recording to live, and quick access to emergency options on your phone. That is a real, useful thing — and it is what iWatch does.
- Fast activation when you feel unsafe
- Video or audio capture, time and date associated
- Encrypted upload to your protected account
- A private vault you can return to later
- Secure storage for ID and emergency information
What iWatch is not
We won't overstate it
Personal-safety marketing has a bad habit of promising things software cannot deliver. iWatch does not do that, and this website will not either.
- iWatch does not prevent crime, injury or assault
- iWatch is not a replacement for emergency services
- iWatch does not claim anyone is watching your session live
- iWatch does not claim police have been contacted unless a call was actually placed from your phone
- iWatch does not claim your recording is secured until the server confirms the upload
In an emergency
Call 911 first, whenever it is safe to do so
iWatch includes a highly visible emergency button that helps you place that call quickly, and tells you plainly what the button does and any confirmation your phone will ask for. Documentation matters — but getting help matters more.
Some states and countries require the consent of everyone being recorded; others do not. Rules can also differ for audio versus video, and for public versus private spaces. Before you rely on iWatch in any specific situation, make sure you understand the law where you are. iWatch does not provide legal advice.
