Privacy Policy
How iWatch handles recordings, identity documents, account data and website information.
1. Information we treat as sensitive
iWatch treats the following as sensitive information: video and audio recordings, identity documents such as a driver's licence or state ID, insurance and vehicle information, emergency information, account details, and any location data if and when location features are introduced.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — the details you provide when creating an iWatch account.
- Safety session data — recordings you create, together with metadata such as date, time, recording type, duration, file name and upload status.
- Documents you choose to store — items you upload to the secure document area.
- Website information — standard analytics such as pages visited. Invasive third-party tracking is not used inside private evidence or document areas.
- Messages you send us — information submitted through the contact form or the launch list.
3. How we use it
To operate your account, store and return your recordings and documents, provide support, keep the service secure, and communicate with you about iWatch. Launch-list details are used to tell you when iWatch becomes available, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. How it is protected
iWatch uses HTTPS, encryption in transit, secure authentication, restricted permissions, secure APIs, session expiration, secure password handling, monitoring, backup and recovery procedures, and documented deletion procedures. Evidence is not exposed through predictable public URLs.
5. Who can access your evidence
Access to your Evidence Vault requires authentication against your own account. iWatch administrators manage accounts, support requests and system health; administrative access does not automatically extend to the contents of private recordings. iWatch may be required to disclose information in response to valid legal process, and the final version of this policy will describe how such requests are handled.
6. Retention and deletion
This section will describe how long recordings, documents and account data are kept, how you can delete them, and what happens when an account is closed. iWatch does not claim that evidence can never be deleted.
7. Your choices and rights
This section will set out the rights available to you depending on where you live, including access, correction, deletion and objection, and how to exercise them.
8. Children
This section will set out minimum age requirements and any parental consent rules that apply.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
10. Contact
Privacy questions and data requests can be sent through the contact form by selecting Privacy Request, or directly by email at support@i-watch.net.
