Parents & families

Teenagers walk home. Students move to new cities. Older parents drive themselves to appointments. iWatch gives the people you care about a simple way to document a situation — and gives you one honest promise instead of several false ones.

Why families choose a tool like this

A record is something. Reassurance you can't verify is nothing.

Plenty of family-safety products imply constant supervision — that someone is always watching, always alerted, always able to intervene. iWatch takes a different position, because we would rather be trusted than impressive.

What iWatch offers a family is straightforward: the person carrying it can start recording in seconds, that recording is preserved securely in their account, and their important documents are somewhere they can reach them.

Good for

  • Teenagers walking home or out with friends
  • College students on and around campus
  • Adult children travelling or living alone
  • Older parents driving or attending appointments
  • Anyone in your family who uses rideshare regularly

A familiar walk home

The ordinary route, covered

Whether it's the last block from the bus stop or a walk through the neighbourhood after dark, iWatch stays ready in a pocket so starting a session never means digging through menus.

Talking to your family about it

Three things worth saying out loud

Practise the activation

The first time someone uses a safety tool should not be during an emergency. Open it together, start a session, end it, and look at where the recording ended up.

911 comes first

Make sure everyone understands that recording is documentation, not rescue. If something is happening and it is safe to call, call.

Fill in the documents

Licence, insurance, vehicle and emergency information are worth adding before they're needed — not while standing at the roadside.

Please read this part carefully

iWatch does not monitor your family member, does not notify you when a session starts, and does not alert emergency services on anyone's behalf. A session is recorded and stored in the account of the person who started it. If a feature like that ever exists in iWatch, it will be described here plainly — and only after it genuinely works.

Younger users

iWatch is intended for use in line with our Terms of Use, including any minimum age requirements and any parental consent rules that apply in your jurisdiction. Final wording will be confirmed by counsel before launch.
